All KMP 4100 models are suitable for accurate measurement of earth loop impedance at the origin and at various points throughout an electrical installation. They can also be used to measure the phase to earth loop impedance of exposed metalwork, for example light fittings and trunking using an external earth probe.
The Robin KMP 4118DL can also directly measure prospective short circuit current with automatic power factor correction.
Features of all 4100 models
Resolution of 0.01ohms on Loop Impedance mode in accordance with BS 7671 requirements.
Power factor corrected PSC test ranges for accurate measurement
Robin patented D-Lok circuits to prevent tripping of most passive type RCDs during Loop Impedance tests
Colour coded LED mains status indicators.
A high performance loop tester with 3 loop impedance measuring ranges and 3 PSC measuring ranges. The KMP 4118DL can give direct read-out of PSC and earth fault current and features a 200ohm earth electrode resistance test range to check that earth electrodes comply with IEE Wiring Regulations.
Displays mains voltage before test
Visual indication of correct wiring status
2000ohms earth electrode resistance test range
Lock-down test button for continuos operation
Direct read-out of prospective short circuit current and earth fault current
Earth probe for testing exposed metalwork.
